Jon Dough (born Chester "Chet" Joseph Anuszak) was an American pornographic actor who worked steadily from 1985 to 2006. Dough's first marriage was to Deidre Holland, a pornographic actress, whom he later divorced. He married pornographic actress Monique DeMoan, with whom he had a daughter in August 2002. Dough died of suicide by hanging. He was 43 years old. DeMoan discovered his body in a closet in their home. In a 2012 interview with Louis Theroux, she cited his struggle with a long-term drug addiction and insolvent porn business as a catalyst for his worsening depression and eventual suicide.

The jury consists of the following (identified only by numbers, all are white men):
The Foreman (Juror #1, played by Martin Balsam)

He has tickets to a baseball game and clearly will go along with whatever will get him out of the jury room the quickest. He is somewhat of a facetious bully by nature, but is easily enfeebled by someone else's aggressiveness. #11 confronts him about his changing his verdict so thoughtlessly.
Juror #8 (Henry Fonda)
Juror #9 (Joseph Sweeney)
Juror #10 (Ed Begley)
Juror #11 (George Voskovec)

José Ferrer chose Buttons to appear in a Broadway show The Admiral Had a Wife. The show was a farce set in Pearl Harbor, and it was due to open on December 8, 1941. It never did, as it was deemed inappropriate after the Japanese attack. In later years Buttons would joke that the Japanese only attacked Pearl Harbor to keep him off of Broadway.

There has been much speculation concerning the psychological well-being of Syd Barrett. Many believe he suffered from schizophrenia, although he didn't exactly fit the typical profile for that condition. A diagnosis of bipolar disorder is also possible, most likely Bipolar I. In addition there have been many ongoing speculations that Syd Barrett suffered from Asperger syndrome (a mild form of Autism)
David Gilmour proposed, in an interview with the National Post's John Geiger, that the stroboscopic lights used in their shows combined with the drugs could have had a seriously detrimental effect on Barrett's mental health if he was a photo-epileptic who suffered partial seizures. When partial seizures occur in the temporal lobes patients are often misdiagnosed with schizophrenia or psychosis.
His sister denied he was a recluse or that he was vague about his past: "Roger may have been a bit selfish — or rather self-absorbed — but when people called him a recluse they were really only projecting their own disappointment. He knew what they wanted but he wasn’t willing to give it to them." Barrett, she said, took up photography, and sometimes they went to the seaside together. "Quite often he took the train on his own to London to look at the major art collections — and he loved flowers. He made regular trips to the Botanic Gardens and to the dahlias at Anglesey Abbey, near Lode. But of course, his passion was his painting", she said.

She was a British pianist and piano teacher whose performing career spanned some twenty-five years, coming to an end in the mid-1970s. Late in her life, recordings released under her name won considerable critical acclaim, but after her death it was discovered that many of these recordings were taken from CDs recorded by other performers. On 26 February 2007, Gramophone Magazine published a confession from Hatto's husband-producer, admitting his sole responsibility in falsely passing off others' works as hers. His version of events has not been universally accepted.

Irving Kaplansky was a mathematician, college professor, author, and musician. Kaplansky or "Kap" as his friends and colleagues called him was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Polish-Jewish immigrants. Kaplansky made major contributions to group theory, ring theory, the theory of operator algebras and field theory and created the Kaplansky density theorem, Kaplansky's game and Kaplansky conjecture. He published more than 150 articles and over 20 mathematical books. Kaplansky was the doctoral supervisor of 55 students including notable mathematicians Hyman Bass, Susanna S. Epp, Günter Lumer, Eben Matlis, Donald Ornstein, Ed Posner, Alex F. T. W. Rosenberg, Judith D. Sally, and Harold Widom. He has over 900 academic descendants, including many through his academic grandchildren David J. Foulis (who studied with Kaplansky at the University of Chicago before completing his doctorate under the supervision of Kaplansky's student Fred Wright, Jr.) and Carl Pearcy (the student of H. Arlen Brown, who had been jointly supervised by Kaplansky and Paul Halmos). Kaplansky was also an accomplished amateur musician. He had perfect pitch, studied piano until the age of 15, earned money in high school as a dance band musician, taught Tom Lehrer, and played in Harvard's jazz band in graduate school. He also had a regular program on Harvard's student radio station. After moving to the University of Chicago, he stopped playing for two decades, but then returned to music as an accompanist for student-run Gilbert and Sullivan productions and as a calliope player in football game parades. He often composed music based on mathematical themes. One of those compositions, A Song About Pi, is a melody based on assigning notes to the first 14 decimal places of pi, and has occasionally been performed by his daughter, singer-songwriter Lucy Kaplansky.
