Doohan James (b. 1920-03-03 / d. 2005-07-20) alias Scotty
Doohan suffered from Parkinson's disease, diabetes, and lung fibrosis in later life. In 2004, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
the cause of his death is identified as pneumonia and Alzheimer's disease. In what may be regarded as an ironic coincidence, Doohan died on the anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing, arguably the greatest engineering achievement in human history.
Almost two years after his death, approximately one-quarter ounce (7 grams) of Doohan's ashes were sent into space, as he had requested in his will. The ashes, along with those of Mercury astronaut Gordon Cooper as well as almost 200 others, were launched on the SpaceLoft XL rocket, on April 28, 2007, when the rocket briefly entered outer space in a suborbital flight before parachuting to earth, as planned, with the payload still inside. The rest of his remains were scattered over Puget Sound in Washington.
beam me up, Scotty, is a catch phrase from the original series star trek.

He was an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name Shawn Osborne. He is best known for his stint with World Wrestling Entertainment as a developmental talent, most recently wrestling for its developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling. He apparently sent out suicide e-mails and texts before taking his own life. In the letter, Osbourne explained that taking his life was something he had thought a lot about. He also said the only drug in his system was Zoloft and it was prescribed. The letter detailed how he wanted his funeral to be handled and addressed his closest friends.

Osborne was known to frequent the famous Homebrew Computer Club's meetings around 1975. He was best known for creating the first commercially available portable computer, the Osborne 1, released in April 1981. It weighed 24.5 pounds (12 kg), cost US$1795—just over half the cost of a computer from other manufacturers with comparable features—and ran the popular CP/M 2.2 operating system. At its peak, Osborne Computer Corporation shipped 10,000 units of "Osborne 1" per month. For a time, it was a huge success. Osborne deserves credit for being one of the first personal computing pioneers to understand fully that there was a wide market of buyers who were not computing hobbyists: the Osborne 1 included word processing and spreadsheet software. This was amazing in an era when even business minded IBM refused to bundle hardware and software with their PCs, even going to the point of separately selling operating systems, monitors, and even cables for the monitor.
It is said that in 1983, Adam Osborne bragged about two advanced new computers his company was developing. These statements destroyed consumer demand for the Osborne 1, and the resulting inventory glut forced Osborne Computer to file for bankruptcy on September 13, 1983. This phenomenon, a preannouncement of a new product causing a catastrophic collapse in demand for older ones, became known as the Osborne effect, but according to some new sources the real reason for Osborne Computer's bankruptcy was management errors.
After Osborne Computer's collapse, Adam Osborne wrote a best-selling memoir of his experience, Hypergrowth: The Rise and Fall of the Osborne Computer Corporation with John C. Dvorak, which was published in 1985.
In 1992, Osborne went to India in declining health, suffering from a brain disorder that triggered frequent minor strokes. He died on March 18, 2003, in Kodaikanal, India, aged 64.

Roddy McDowall died at his home in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles from cancer. ``It was very peaceful,`` said Dennis Osborne, a screenwriter friend who had cared for the actor in his final months. ``It was just as he wanted it. It was exactly the way he planned.`` Though he was cremated through The Neptune Society, his ashes were not distributed in the Pacific Ocean as had been widely reported at the time.

On October 22, 1942 at the height of the war, Karajan married Anita Gütermann, the daughter of a well-known sewing machine magnate, and who, having a Jewish grandfather, was considered to be Vierteljüden (one-quarter Jewish). Within days of the wedding, "things started turning nasty" when the NSDAP opened an enquiry into whether or not Karajan was exempt from the Party's racial laws. Karajan apparently verbally tendered his resignation from the Party, but was kept on as a Party member, either because the resignation was not submitted in writing, or Party leaders felt he was better used conducting concerts. However, Karajan's conducting career now took a definite turn for the worse, and by 1944, he was on the outs with the Nazi leaders. Karajan conducted his final concert in wartime Berlin on Feb 18, 1945 and, fearing for his life, fled Germany with Anita for Milan a short time later (Source: R. Osborne, "Karajan: A Life in Music"). Karajan and Anita divorced in 1958.
Karajan was deposed by the Austrian denazification examing board on March 18, 1946 and resumed his conducting career shortly thereafter
