He was a French businessman and Gaullist politician. He was Interior Minister from 1986 to 1988, under Jacques Chirac's cohabitation government, and also from 1993 to 1995, under the government of Edouard Balladur.

Mark Margolis (/mɑːrˈɡoʊlɪs/) was an American actor. An actor since he was a teenager, late in his career, he became most known for portraying Hector Salamanca in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. His performance in Breaking Bad was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2012. He regularly performed in the films of director Darren Aronofsky, appearing in all but two of his films, and starring in Aronofsky's first film, Pi (1998). He was also known for playing Alberto "The Shadow" in Scarface and Antonio Nappa in Oz. Coincidentally, Krysten Ritter – Jesse's apartment manager and girlfriend, who is a recovering addict - wears also the last name “Margolis”.

Jean-Claude Bouttier was a French actor and professional boxer. During his boxing career, which spanned from 1965 to 1974, he won 64 out of 72 bouts, 43 of them by knockout. In June 1971 he won the European Boxing Union (EBU) middleweight title, and in 1972 and 1973 unsuccessfully contested the WBC and WBA titles against Carlos Monzon. He lost the EBU title to Kevin Finnegan in May 1974. Bouttier started his film career by playing himself in TV series, while still boxing. His later roles involved proper acting, such as Philippe Rouget in Les Uns et les Autres. Since 1984, he worked as a sports commentator for Canal+.

He was a Spanish professional Grand Prix motorcycle racer. He was one of the most accomplished motorcycle racers in the history of the sport, winning 13 World Championships and 90 Grand Prix victories in a racing career that spanned twenty-three years from 1964 to 1986. His total of 90 Grand Prix victories ranks him third only to the 122 by Giacomo Agostini, and the 115 for Valentino Rossi. In 2011, Nieto was named an FIM Legend for his motorcycling achievements. Nieto was hit by a car while driving his quad bike in Ibiza. He was taken to a hospital with a head trauma where he was put into a medically-induced coma and underwent surgery; his condition had been called "serious but not critical". On 3 August, his condition significantly worsened after being woken from his coma. He died the same day.

During the ensuing accident Collins was thrown clear of the Ferrari, but sustained critical injuries to his head. Despite being airlifted to hospital, Collins died later that afternoon.

A controversial figure throughout her life, Colette flaunted her lesbian affairs, and collaborated with the Vichy regime during World War II - while at the same time aiding her Jewish friends, including hiding her husband in her attic all through the war. She was a member of the Belgian Royal Academy (1935), president of the Académie Goncourt (1949) (and the first woman to be admitted into it, in 1945), and a Chevalier (1920) and a Grand Officier (1953) of the Légion d'honneur. When she died in Paris on August 3, 1954, she was given a state funeral, although she was refused Roman Catholic rites because of her divorce. Colette is interred in Le Pčre Lachaise Cemetery in Paris.

His first assignment was the construction of various railway lines in the Mayenne area. In the course of this work, his left arm was crushed in a construction accident and had to be amputated. He relocated to Paris in 1886 and became chief engineer for the Paris Métro in 1896. He would supervise its construction for more than three decades, finally retiring on December 6, 1932.
