Born 1910 probably sept or oct... Lionel Jospin's mother Euthanasia. 'Ninety-two years - it is time to leave before deteriorations set in,' she wrote on the day of her death to members of an association called the Right to Die with Dignity, of which she was a member. 'I am leaving this life calmly. Even so, I am very sad to leave my family, big and small, and my friends: [but] isn't that in the order of things? 'My husband and children have filled my life. I am not a believer in the strict sense of the term, but I often say and repeat: thank you, thank you for the magnificence of this world. I would really like a little later on to lift a corner of the veil to see if mankind has become wiser, if it has given up destroying itself. 'I adore flowers. My husband and children have seen to it that they always accompanied me - from the little bouquets of marigolds at the start of my marriage to the magnificent roses, hortensias and orchids which my children offer me now. They have given me a mirror of life: budding, blooming, fading, over periods of different lengths, faithful to themselves, an image of all life.'

Blake
Peter James. 2001-12-06

53

Born 1948-10-01. Domain:Sport. Cause of death:Murder

he was a New Zealand yachtsman who led his country to two successive America’s Cup victories. He previously won the Whitbread Round the World Race in 1989, and the Jules Verne Trophy in 1994 by setting the fastest time around the world of 74 days 22 hours 17 minutes 22 seconds on catamaran Enza. Blake was appointed a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1995 for services to yachting, and received an honorary doctorate in 2000 from AUT University.
Pirates shot and killed Blake while he was on an environmental exploration trip in South America, monitoring global warming and pollution for the United Nations. The two-month expedition was anchored off Macapá, Brazil, at the mouth of the Amazon delta, waiting to clear customs after a trip up the Amazon river. At around 9 pm a group of six to eight armed, masked robbers wearing balaclavas and crash helmets boarded the Seamaster. As one of the robbers held a gun to the head of a crewmember, Blake sprang from the cabin wielding a rifle used to ward off polar bears. He shot one of the assailants in the hand before the rifle malfunctioned; he was then fatally shot in the back by assailant Ricardo Colares Tavares. The boarders injured two other crew members with knives, and the remaining seven were unhurt.
The only booty the attackers seized from Seamaster was a 15 hp outboard motor and some watches from the crew. Authorities eventually captured the pirates and sentenced them to an average of 32 years in prison each; Tavares, the man who fired the fatal shots, received a sentence of 36 years 9 months.
Prior to the attack, the yacht's crew had been very careful when travelling up the river and back down again; they always had crew members on watch. Only upon return to 'civilisation' did they relax their guard.

Klemperer
Werner. 2000-12-06

80

Born 1920-03-22. Domain:Performing. Cause of death:Age

Klemperer is remembered as Colonel Wilhelm Klink: the bumbling, cowardly and self-serving Commandant of Stalag 13 on Hogan's Heroes, which ran on CBS from 1965 to 1971. Klemperer was conscious that he was playing a Nazi officer, and agreed to play Klink only on the condition that he would be portrayed as a fool who never succeeded. When Klemperer's father, the famous conductor, saw his first episode of Hogan's Heroes, he said to his son, "Your work is good...but who is the author of this material?" In addition to the character's bumblings, Klink was also remembered for his horribly screechy violin playing, spoofing Klemperer's talent for the violin. For his performance as Klink, Klemperer received six Emmy Award nominations for best supporting actor, winning in 1968, and again in 1969. It was on the set of Hogan's Heroes that he met actress Louise Troy, who was making a guest appearance. They fell in love and married, but eventually divorced.
Klemperer reprised the role of Klink in an episode of The Simpsons in 1993 as Homer's guardian angel and spirit guide in the episode: "The Last Temptation of Homer" (episode # 5.9). According to the particular episode's DVD commentary, when he guested he had to be given a quick reminder of how to play Colonel Klink. He appeared in character and costume as Klink in a "Batclimb cameo" on the campy Batman television series and as Officer Bolix in the Lost in Space episode "All That Glitters" in 1966.
Between 1970 and 1978, Klemperer owned a Mercedes Benz 6.9 V8. When parked on the set of Hogan's Heroes, his co-star Bob Crane joked about it being "The Colonel's staff car". After Crane's murder, Werner sold the car because it brought back too many memories of his friend.
Werner Klemperer died from cancer at 80. His ashes were scattered at sea. From 1997 until his death, Klemperer was married to African-American actress Kim Hamilton.

Lépine
Marc. 1989-12-06

25

Born 1964-10-26. Domain:Society. Cause of death:Suicide

Born Gamil Gharbi, he was a 25-year-old man from Montreal, Quebec, Canada who murdered fourteen women and wounded ten women and four men at the École Polytechnique, an engineering school affiliated with the Université de Montréal, in "the Montreal Massacre", also known as "the École Polytechnique massacre".
In August 1989, Lépine picked up an application for a firearms-acquisition certificate and received his permit in mid-October. In November 21, 1989, Lépine purchased a Ruger Mini-14 semi-automatic rifle at a local sporting goods store. During the period October to December 1989, Lépine was seen at least seven times at the École Polytechnique. He brought his mother a present four days before the shooting, though it was several weeks before her birthday. He had always been very punctual paying his rent, but did not do so in December 1989.
On December 6, 1989, Lépine walked into the École Polytechnique de Montréal. There, he entered a second-floor classroom where he separated the men and women and then ordered the approximately fifty men to leave. Claiming that he was fighting feminism, he shot the nine women who remained, killing six and injuring the rest. After this, Lépine moved to other areas of the building, including the cafeteria, corridors and another classroom. A total of fourteen women (twelve engineering students, one nursing student, and one university employee) were killed, and four men and ten women injured before Lépine turned the gun on himself.
A three-page letter (see below) was found in the pocket of his jacket. The letter was never officially made public, but was leaked in November 1990 to Francine Pelletier, and published in the newspaper La Presse. In his suicide letter, Lépine claimed political motives, blaming feminists for ruining his life. He considered himself rational and expressed admiration for Denis Lortie, who had mounted an attack on the Quebec National Assembly in 1984 for political reasons, killing three Quebec government employees. The letter also contained a list of nineteen Quebec women whom Lépine apparently wished to kill because of their feminism.
Marc Lépine was buried in the Cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges in Montreal, a few blocks from where he committed the massacre.
Ils m’ont refusé because associàl.

Fanon
Frantz Omar. 1961-12-06

Born 1925-07-20. Domain:Politics. Cause of death:cancer (blood)

Frantz Omar Fanon (/ˈfænən/, US: /fæˈnɒ̃/; French: [fʁɑ̃ts fanɔ̃]) was a Francophone Afro-Caribbean psychiatrist, political philosopher, and Marxist from the French colony of Martinique (today a French department). His works have become influential in the fields of post-colonial studies, critical theory, and Marxism. As well as being an intellectual, Fanon was a political radical, Pan-Africanist, and Marxist humanist concerned with the psychopathology of colonization and the human, social, and cultural consequences of decolonization. With his health declining, Fanon's comrades urged him to seek treatment in the U.S. as his Soviet doctors had suggested. In 1961, the CIA arranged a trip under the promise of stealth for further leukemia treatment at a National Institutes of Health facility. During his time in the United States, Fanon was handled by CIA agent Oliver Iselin. As Lewis R. Gordon points out, the circumstances of Fanon's stay are somewhat disputed: "What has become orthodoxy, however, is that he was kept in a hotel without treatment for several days until he contracted pneumonia." Fanon subsequently died from double pneumonia in Bethesda, Maryland, on 6 December 1961 after finally having begun his leukemia treatment. He had been admitted under the name of Ibrahim Omar Fanon, a Libyan nom de guerre he had assumed in order to enter a hospital in Rome after being wounded in Morocco during a mission for the Algerian National Liberation Front. He was buried in Algeria after lying in state in Tunisia. Later, his body was moved to a martyrs' (Chouhada) graveyard at Aïn Kerma in eastern Algeria.
