He attended Manchester University, where he was taught by both Max Newman and Alan Turing. His specialism was Number Theory and he worked at the Government Communications Headquarters before becoming an academic, first at the Atlas Computer Laboratory at Harwell and then in a newly created chair at Cardiff.

The Medication was due to her many injuries suffered during her career as well as her bipolar disorder. Luna became addicted to medication at some point and underwent rehabilition, paid for by WWE, which she completed in June 2009.

His personal best throw was 22.02 metres, achieved in August 1982 in Koblenz.
Laut was murdered at his home in Oxnard, California, by an unknown gunman. He was shot three times and died immediately. He had been the Athletic Director for Hueneme High School in the Oxnard Union High School District.

Priestley played a semi-regular role in The Secret Life of Us and appeared in Blue Heelers before his first on-air appearance in All Saints in July 2004. Priestley was a long-time friend of Wil Traval, his co-star on All Saints. The two were known to get up to countless pranks on set.
On the afternoon of 27 August 2008 Priestley checked into the Swissotel in Market Street, Sydney, under the name 'Damien Barker'. He was found dead on an awning of the Myer store at Pitt Street, on the corner of Market Street, at 2pm. Police sources said the 32-year-old jumped from the Swissotel and was killed instantly. There are unconfirmed reports he plunged from a 22nd-floor room. The actor was believed to have been suffering from depression.

Jon Dough (born Chester "Chet" Joseph Anuszak) was an American pornographic actor who worked steadily from 1985 to 2006. Dough's first marriage was to Deidre Holland, a pornographic actress, whom he later divorced. He married pornographic actress Monique DeMoan, with whom he had a daughter in August 2002. Dough died of suicide by hanging. He was 43 years old. DeMoan discovered his body in a closet in their home. In a 2012 interview with Louis Theroux, she cited his struggle with a long-term drug addiction and insolvent porn business as a catalyst for his worsening depression and eventual suicide.

Poujadism flourished most vigorously in the last years of the French Fourth Republic, and articulated the economic interests and grievances of shopkeepers and other proprietor-managers of small businesses facing economic and social change. The movement's ideological issues were: lower taxes, corporatism, and the denouncing of politicians and media; later, the movement grew increasingly nationalist, antisemitic, xenophobic, and critical of parliamentary institutions.
The political arm of the movement was the UDCA, which secured 53 seats in the National Assembly in 1956. The youngest member of parliament, elected on an UDCA list, was Jean-Marie Le Pen. However Poujade later distanced himself from Le Pen; and after the French Fifth Republic began in 1958 under Charles de Gaulle's presidency, Poujade and his party largely faded from view. In the 1981 and 1988 presidential elections he favoured François Mitterrand, while in the 1995 election he voiced his support for Jacques Chirac.
The word poujadisme now has in France the general meaning of some political ideology that articulates the worries of some part of the population facing social or economic change, and that blame the problems on the "establishment" and the political system. Examples of political groups with strong poujadist leanings include Le Pen's own National Front. Others, such as the Third Way, have also claimed to be heirs of the poujadist tradition.

In 1966, Greg Morris was cast in his most recognizable role as the electronics expert Barney Collier in the TV series Mission: Impossible. Along with Peter Lupus and Bob Johnson, he would be the only other actor to remain with the series throughout its entire run.
Shortly before his death, he went to see the film version of Mission: Impossible that starred Tom Cruise. The reports were that he hated the movie so much (an opinion that was shared by several of his former co-stars) that he left the theater early.

Drug addiction and alcoholism took a toll on Vaughan in mid-1986. Cocaine and Crown Royal whiskey were among his addictions. After becoming acutely ill in Germany while on tour, Vaughan managed to struggle through three more shows (one of those shows was recorded and released by the name Live alive)and was finally admitted into a hospital in London. Dr. Victor Bloom, who has helped Eric Clapton and Pete Townshend with their addictions, told Stevie he was a month away from dying. After a struggle to get sober in London, he then flew to Atlanta, Georgia to a rehabilitation center. He eventually recovered fully from his addictions and became a teetotaler.
On August 25, 1990, Vaughan and Double Trouble finished up the summer leg of the tour with shows at Alpine Valley Music Theatre, just outside of East Troy, Wisconsin. The show also featured Robert Cray and his Memphis Horns along with Eric Clapton's set. Alex Hodges, Double Trouble's tour manager, arranged flight by helicopter with Omni Flights.
At the end of the show, Vaughan was informed by a member of Clapton's crew that three seats were open on one of the helicopters returning to Chicago with Clapton's crew, enough for Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan, and Jimmie Vaughan's wife Connie. It turned out there was only one seat left, which Stevie Ray Vaughan requested from his brother, who obliged. Stevie strapped himself next to Clapton's crew. It was 12:44 am. Pilot Jeffrey Browne guided the copter off the ground as the lights flashed below. Seconds later, the mistake was made. After just a few seconds in the copter, the pilot banked the machine into a 300-foot high hill with the twisted metal scattered over an area of 200 square feet. All on board were killed instantly. No one realized that the crash had occurred until the helicopter failed to arrive in Chicago, and the wreckage was only found with the help of its locator beacon. The main cause of the crash was believed to be pilot error.

Mountbatten went sailing in his thirty-foot wooden boat, the Shadow V, which was moored in the small harbour at Mullaghmore. The IRA had earlier fitted a radio controlled fifty-pound bomb which was detonated before the boat reached Donegal Bay. Others killed in the blast were Nicholas Knatchbull, his elder daughter's fourteen-year-old son, Paul Maxwell, a 15-year-old youth from County Fermanagh who was working as a crew member and Baroness Brabourne, his elder daughter's 83-year-old mother-in-law who was seriously injured in the explosion, and died from her injuries the following day.
Nicholas Knatchbull's mother and father, along with his twin brother Timothy, survived the explosion but were seriously injured.
On that same day, the IRA also ambushed and killed eighteen British Army soldiers from the Parachute Regiment at Warrenpoint, County Down in what became known as the Warrenpoint ambush.

Male homosexual relations were illegal throughout the UK until September 1967 (only one month after Epstein's death) when gay male sexuality was legalised in England and Wales (remaining illegal in Scotland and Northern Ireland until 1980 and 1982, respectively).
After the start of his management career, Epstein started taking amphetamines—usually Preludin, which was legal at that time. He explained his use of the drug as the only way of staying awake at night during numerous concert tours.
In 1964, after having been introduced to cannabis by Bob Dylan in New York, McCartney remembered Epstein standing in front of a mirror, pointing at himself and repeatedly saying "Jew!", and laughing loudly.
Epstein died of a drug overdose.

Against his doctor's orders, Le Corbusier went for a swim in the Mediterranean Sea at Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France. His body was found by bathers and he was pronounced dead at 11 a.m. It was assumed that he suffered a heart attack, at the age of seventy-eight. His death rites took place at the courtyard of the Louvre Palace on September 1, 1965 under the direction of writer and thinker André Malraux, who was at the time France's Minister of Culture.

After the war he joined the Italian Communist Party and worked on the party's newspaper L'Unità. Towards the end of his life, he visited frequently Le Langhe, the area where he was born, where he found great solace. However, love frustrations (Constance Dowling) and political disillusionment led him to his suicide, by an overdose of barbiturates, in 1950 – the year in which he won the Strega Prize for 'La Bella Estate', comprising three novellas: 'La tenda', written in 1940, 'Il diavolo sulle colline'(1948) and 'Tra donne sole' (1949).
