Portas Miguel (b. 1958-05-01 / d. 2012-04-24)
He was a Portuguese politician and a Member of the European Parliament for the Left Bloc, part of the European United Left–Nordic Green Left group. He was a member of the Committee on Culture and Education of the European Parliament and a member of the Delegation for relations with the Mashreq countries. He died of lung cancer in April 2012. The disease was diagnosed in 2010.

He was an American actor, singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He was best known for his role as Keith Partridge, the son of Shirley Partridge (played by his stepmother, Shirley Jones), in the 1970s musical-sitcom The Partridge Family. This role catapulted Cassidy to teen idol status as a superstar pop singer of the 1970s. In 2008, Cassidy publicly admitted he had an alcohol problem. On February 20, 2017, following a performance in which Cassidy had difficulty remembering the lyrics of songs he had been performing for nearly 50 years and appeared to fall off the stage, he announced that he was living with dementia and was retiring from all further performing. He said that his mother and grandfather had also suffered from dementia at the end of their lives, and that "I was in denial, but a part of me always knew this was coming." Later in 2017, Cassidy fell ill at a recording studio and was hospitalized. In a later phone conversation with an A&E producer, he stated that he had just met with his doctor, that he had liver disease, and that his life had "changed dramatically." Cassidy added that he had been unconscious and near death for the first few days after the incident, but that his memory had returned. Cassidy also acknowledged that there was "no sign of [dementia] at this stage of [his] life," adding that "[it] was complete alcohol poisoning – and the fact is, I lied about my drinking." Cassidy said, "You know, I did it to myself, man. I did it to myself to cover up the sadness and the emptiness." On November 18, 2017, it was announced that Cassidy had been hospitalized with liver and kidney failure, and was critically ill in a medically induced coma.He came out of the coma two days later, remaining in critical but stable condition. Doctors hoped to keep Cassidy stable until a liver became available for transplant, but he died of liver failure at the age of 67.

Masao Sugiuchi was a professional Go player. Born in Miyazaki, Japan in 1920, Sugiuchi became a professional in 1941. By 1959, he had reached 9 dan. His nickname was "the God of Go" (Japanese 碁の神様, Go no Kami-sama) because of his serious style and strait-laced personality. In December 2004, he became the oldest Nihon Ki-in professional to reach 800 career wins. He was married to Kazuko Sugiuchi (née Honda), one of three professional go-playing sisters.

He was a Lebanese politician in the Kataeb Party, better known in English as the Phalange Party. Lebanon's second-youngest MP, he was a rising star in his party.
He was the third member of his family to be assassinated in 25 years. His uncle Bachir Gemayel was assassinated in 1982, also at age 34, and Bachir's 1-year-old daughter was killed in a car bomb attack in 1980, initially supposed to target him.
The day before Lebanon's Independence Day, at least three to four gunmen opened fired at close range on Gemayel with five different types of silenced automatic weapons, all using 9 mm bullets, after ramming his car from the front in the Jdeideh suburb of Beirut with a Honda CRV with tinted windows that they were driving. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead. His bodyguard Sameer Chartouni was also killed.

François de Roubaix was a French film score composer. In a decade, he created a musical style with new sounds, until his accidental death at 36. Notable in his style is his use of folk elements, as well as electronic musical instruments such as synthesizers and early drum machines. He is thus seen as a precursor of the French electronic music. Roubaix had a home studio where he would overdub parts until he was satisfied with the result. He died in 1975 in a diving accident. In 1976, his score for Le Vieux Fusil was awarded a César Award. He also wrote the music of Dernier Domicile Connu.

Charles Blavette was a French film actor. He appeared in 50 films between 1933 and 1966. Blavette died on November 21, 1967, during the filming of Jacquou le croquant series by Stellio Lorenzi, where he played Jansou, the peasant who had betrayed and denounced Jacquou's father. He had already shot his scenes from the first and second episodes, which appeared in the series, and he was due to returning to the sixth episode, during the revenge of Jacquou, who became an adult, but Blavette died before he could shoot these last scenes. Following his death, Stellio Lorenzi integrated into episode 4 a scene that evokes dying Jansou, showing only his house, but never the actor. In this scene, Jacquou refuses to see Jansou: he abruptly leaves the priest who brought him to meet him so that he grants his forgiveness to the peasant.
