Chalhoub Michel Demitri (b. 1932-04-10 / d. 2015-07-10) alias Omar Sharif
He was an Egyptian actor. He began his career in his native country in the 1950s, but is best known for his appearances in both British and American productions. His films included Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Doctor Zhivago (1965) and Funny Girl (1968). He was nominated for an Academy Award. He won three Golden Globe Awards and a César Award. Sharif had a triple heart bypass in 1992 and suffered a mild heart attack in 1994. Until his bypass, Sharif smoked 100 cigarettes a day. He quit smoking after the operation. In May 2015 it was reported that Sharif was suffering from Alzheimer's disease. His son Tarek Sharif said that his father was becoming confused when remembering some of the biggest films of his career; he would mix up the names of his best-known films, Doctor Zhivago and Lawrence of Arabia, often forgetting where they were filmed.

A former star of the Power Rangers TV series has been arrested on suspicion of fatally stabbing his housemate with a sword. Los Angeles County Sheriff's officials say 36-year-old Ricardo Medina Jr. was jailed on Sunday following the death of Joshua Sutter. Investigators allege Medina Jr. and Sutter got into an argument the previous afternoon at their residence in the Californian city of Palmadale that turned into a fight. Actor Ricardo Medina Jr. has been arrested on suspicion of fatally stabbing his housemate. According to the Sheriff's Department, the fight began when Medina Jr. went to his bedroom with his girlfriend after getting into an argument with Sutter. Sutter, 36, followed and forced open the door to the bedroom; Medina Jr. took up a sword that he kept next to the door and fatally stabbed Sutter once in the abdomen, authorities said. Medina Jr. called 911 and stayed at the home. He was later interviewed by detectives and arrested on Sunday at the sheriff's station in Palmdale. His bail was set at $1 million. Detectives have confirmed that Medina Jr. played a red Power Ranger on television, Sheriff's Deputy Amber Smith told the Los Angeles Times. The actor played Red Lion Wild Force Ranger on the Power Rangers Wild Force series in 2002 and voiced the character Deker on Power Rangers Samurai in 2012 to 2013, among other acting roles. This is not the first time that a power ranger had got in trouble. Skylar Deleon was sentenced to death following a series of murders. The Argentine cycling community lost one of its prized riders, Armando Borrajo, to a tragic suicide on December 18 in Buenos Aires. The 34-year-old was kidnapped for two days and released just prior to his death and reportedly suffered from injury and shock. According to reports, Borrajo's younger brother Alejandro, who races for the US-based team Jamis-Sutter Home, broke his arm while attempting to intervene. Details of Borrajo's death have not been released. Borrajo was a member of an electoral campaign for the Argentine Track and Road Cycling Federation, directly under Facundo Donadio who was running for presidency. The election was scheduled to take place on December 22 but has been postponed. Borrajo recently traveled to northern Argentina for a campaign presentation. It was reported that he was a victim of a kidnapping and then released two days prior to his suicide. Investigators are still searching for details in the kidnapping case. Borrajo won the national road title in 2006 and more recently won a stage of the Giro del Sol San Juan in 2009.

Cherepanov died after collapsing on the bench during a KHL game against Chekhov Vityaz. He played a shift with teammate Jaromir Jagr, and the two were talking on the bench shortly after they left the ice, when he suddenly collapsed. He was first tried to be revived on the bench, then carried to the dressing room and he was finally rushed to an intensive care unit. The ambulance that is normally at all games had already departed and had to be called back, taking approximately 15-20 minutes to get him to a hospital. He died later that day.
On August 29, 2007, during game 2 of the 2007 Super Series, Cherepanov collided with Canadian forward Brandon Sutter and suffered a concussion. The next day it was reported that he would be out for the remainder of the eight-game series. Team Russia went on to go winless in the series.

Ludwig Sütterlin was a graphic artist who lived in Berlin, Germany, and was most notable for designing and creating the old German blackletter handwriting Sütterlinschrift (Sütterlin script) or simply Sütterlin. Ludwig was born in Lahr, located within the Schwarzwald (Black Forest). Although Sütterlin's childhood is currently unknown, the most notable years of his life began when he moved to Berlin and began his profession as a graphic artist—gaining fame for a poster submitted to the Industrial Exhibition in Berlin, Germany, 1896. Later, Sütterlin worked as a teacher at the "Teaching Institution of the Royal Museum of Decorative Arts" in Berlin, and the future "United State Schools for Free and Applied Arts," where he held courses in artistic fonts. In 1911, Sütterlin was tasked by the Royal Prussian Ministry of Culture to create courses for preschool and school. This connection to the education system could possibly have led him to his future ambition to create a national script for Germany. At the time, the current writing style was based on alternating pressure, which made it difficult for primary school pupils to hurdle the writing exercises, leading Ludwig to develop a child-oriented methodology for writing beginners: making the line width uniform, all letters vertical and geometrically straight or circular. This new and more simple writing allowed all students, artistically inclined or not, to be able to write the script. In 1914, the initial trials of using Sütterlin in Berlin schools began and ultimately was declared Berlin's national script for education by Prussia in 1924. Most other German states (i.g., Oldenburg, Thuringia, Hesse, and Baden) followed the example of Prussia, so that from about 1930 Germany mainly introduced Sütterlin for education. Unfortunately for Sütterlin, he was not able to see his work come to fruition, for he died 7 years before in Berlin. He probably died from starving.
