Young Robert George (b. 1907-02-22 / d. 1998-07-21)

Despite the fact that he portrayed happy, well-adjusted characters, Young suffered from depression and alcoholism, which contributed to his suicide attempt in 1991. Afterwards he spoke candidly about his problems in an effort to encourage people to seek help with their own. The Robert Young Center for Community Mental Health, an affiliate of Trinity Regional Health System, located in Rock Island, Illinois, is a comprehensive community mental health center. It is named after Young for his work with passage of the 708 Illinois Tax Referendum.
Young died at his home in Westlake Village, California at 91 from respiratory failure. He was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, in Glendale, California.

Jean Carlu (Bonnières-sur-Seine, France, 1900–1997) was a French graphic designer who specialised in posters. He was a member of a family of architects; his brother Jacques Carlu for example designed the Palais de Chaillot in Paris. He made posters during World War II to promote an increase in American production. The fame of Carlu rests mainly on two posters: for Monsavon and for the Théâtre Pigalle. He also designed a pioneering label for the 1924 vintage of Château Mouton-Rothschild. Carlu also designed posters for the Container Corporation of America, Pan American Airways, and Air France.

Born 1890-04-07. Domain:Art. Cause of death:Age

Jacques Carlu was a French architect and designer, working mostly in Art Deco style, active in France, Canada, and in the United States. His most famous building is likely the Palais de Chaillot, Trocadéro, near the Eiffel Tower, which was designed for the Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne (1937). The building's long wings now serve as museum space, and it features sculptural groups on the attic by Raymond Delamarre, Carlo Sarrabezolles and Alfred Bottiau. His other buildings include the 1957 NATO HQ (see of the Secretary General) in Paris (until 1967), now Université Paris-Dauphine. Among his important interiors are the 1930 Eaton Auditorium in Toronto (now known as "The Carlu"), the 1943 French Nationality Room at the University of Pittsburgh's Cathedral of Learning, and other venues. Carlu is buried at the Passy Cemetery with his spouse Anne. He was the brother of French graphic designer Jean Carlu. Carlu was married to little-known artist Anne Carlu (née Peckard 1895-1972). A mural of Anne's resides in the hall of the United Nations, Palais des Nations, in Geneva Switzerland.
